I have a 2007 Tahoe Q7i with a a 5.0 Mercruiser. I took it out on the lake this weekend and I'm seem to having some sort of fuel problem. I was driving down the lake for about 20 minutes and everything was good but then all of the sudden it cut out. I dropped it back into neutral and then put it in gear again. Went along fine but when it got about 4000 rpm it cut out again. It seemed to be fine if I kept it around 3800-3900 but not over 4000. Sometimes it would sputter at 3800-3900 as well but not usually. I say it cut out because if I didn't touch the throttle, it would come back to rpm, then cut out again. This just kept going. It never left me stranded or anything like that and it seemed to happen around a half a tank as well but not neccesarily. These were just some observations that I made. I was thinking either the fuel pump, fuel filter, I really haven't ever changed the water fuel separator (I'm not even sure I have one!), bad gas...

Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this?
