Picking up this boat this weekend. First boat and can't find answers to some questions from the web. Hoping I could find some help here...

What is the weight or person capacity of the boat?

How much weight can the Yamaha 150 2 stroke handle on board this boat?

How far would you estimate the 105 gallon fuel tank could get me in the gulf on calm days?

If you have some insight above and beyond the norm on this boat, I'd appreciate any pointers...

Thanks in advance

weight/capacity is on the placard in the boat. no more than the placard says. rule of thumb for fuel consumptions, move the HP rating decimal to the left one space. 150 hp = 15 gallons per hour. how far that is, is a variable, current, load, winds, proper maintenance.

15 GPH would be at wide open throttle and making 150 bhp. At cruise she'll burn about 10 GPH at 30 MPH or so, which is 3 MPG although she may do a little better...

I am concerned about power though. Most of these Sea Pro 220 CCs have 225s or 250s, which tells me they need it . . . so she may struggle with much more than two people on board. How fast do you think you're gonna go? I bet high 30s max which would be OK for a lot of people. Good luck with her. Be safe.

I was concerned as well, but the boat pulled 42mph with 3 full grown guys on board. My whole family of 5 weighs 120lbs less than we had on the boat during sea trial. I wish it had at least a 200, but that would of put it out of my price range. I may repower her in a year or two, but for now I'll have to deal with it.

I will be doing alot of family weekends around tampa bay until I get more comfortable with longer range trips.

42 MPH is great if it was confrimed with GPS? Also 42 MPH and 15 GPH is 2.8 MPG, so I think cruise will come in at 3.5 MPG. All data has to be correct though, and of course conditions change everything as TD mentioned above . . . ;)
