I was told about this Die Nut, pictured here, my mechanic says he use's them all the time and they work fine... but you can only use them once...He asked me to order 16mm Die Nut, cut new threads and I would be fine, has any heard of a Die nut and how good they work...ALso the nut that hold s the flywheel is a 16mm nut. should I use a 16mm die nut or a smaller size because the threads are gone...

Ask the mechanic why that die nut can only be used once ?----Think I used die nuts about 50 years ago !

Apperently, he said he only use's it once, I imagine you can use it many more then once...I just ordered it because you can't just pick one up from Lowe's or homedepot, it cost me 10 bucks but if it works it worth every penny..but its a 16mmx1.125..So I would have to get a nut thats 16mmx1.125.I may have to order the nut as well

Ayuh,.... Because it's such an oddball size that has no other uses,....

Yer picture looks like the dies in my set,...
Not all dies are round, their outer shape depends on the die-handle in the kit,....

Thread chaser nuts are usually of lesser quality, 'n only in more common sizes,....

I just found out It will be here by Thursday Im going to give it a try, I never used one before, but someone told me to go slow and add oil to the nut every half turn and then back off and go a half turn again and add oil....Is this correct, is there any special oil I need...
