I have 2 fish finders that I haven't hooked up yet and I'm wondering which one is better. I want to put the better of the 2 on the boat I will be using the most and the other on my little aluminium for when I'm out alone. One is a Impulse 2800 Plus with all the wires, box, and book. The other one is a Hummingbird Wide 128 with all wiring, no book or box. I know neither is state of the art but I'm just wondering what everyone would use if they had a choice. Thanks.

When it comes to electronics most of the time, the "newer one" is the "better one". :)

I would list both on Ebay, sell them and take the small pile of cash and buy a new one

Put the larger display on the boat you use the most.....

The Impulse is hands down the better unit from technical stand point. To this day, most big box stores sonars don't have TVG adjustment
