Hello, can anyone tell me the correct torque values for the head bolts on a 1998 J225 Ocean Runner motor please. Just had to change the head gaskets and need to know the torque specs.

Thanks

Just as important is the sequence to torque them. Start in the center and sprial outwards. Start with like 12ft/lbs initially then on the second round the 17ft/lbs.

Thank you for your help, a tech told me that it was 17ft lbs but another guy (not a tech) said 24ft lbs. I did the 17 lbs and I did it in the correct sequence starting from 1 to 20 and did it at 12, 15 and then finally at 17ft lbs.

After you run the mtr and get it good and warm, shut it down and let it cool off. Then re-torque the bolts again.
