1997 Mercury 125, want to know good or bad?

hey guys/girls, just wanted to know your thoughts on a 1997 merc 125, 4 cylinder.. i am prchasing a boat with one on it, im really just interested in the hull but want to know what people think of this particular engine, thanks in advance to all who respond.

What is known as a 2+2 motor.-----The bottom 2 carburetors run very lean below about 1800 RPM.----It only runs on the top 2 cylinders at idle.---Do a compression test.-------I suggest a water test before handing over your hard earned money.

interesting, maybe good on fuel? at idle perhaps? it will be going on a 16' hull that probably doesnt even weigh 900 lbs
