Hello fellow boaters,
Well here goes post#1 for my first boat related issue. I recently acquired a 1993 Grady-White 208 WA powered by a 1993 Johnson Ocean Runner 200hp. It's my first boat and I am having a fun time tinkering with it. Anyway onto my problem.
When I first got the boat after I pressed and released the tilt trim raise/lower buttons, the motor itself would continue moving by itself at times like it was possessed. I would have to turn off battery power and try again. On the control side, the up/down on the handle would work but not consistently.
What I have done so far is replace both relays for the tilt/trim in the motor. Now the up/down from the motor itself works perfect but now no response at all from the control side for the up/down. Any idea what might be going on here, thanks...
