Hello all,
for some reason my 60 hp dropped the top cyl this weekend, I pulled the head and saw that the rings got toasted on that cyl but also noticed that the piston seems to have slop also when turning the flywheel by hand. I really don't know why it blew as I had it full serviced 1 month ago, carbs rebuilt, top engine turner ran trough it, new plugs, new fuel pump and fuel lines.
Anyway, I'm thinking of just replacing the power head vs building this one as I have found a pretty good deal on a used power head. The power head I've located is a 1987 johnson 70 hp and I have a 1992 60 hp. Does anyone on here know if this would be a direct replacement long block for me? will a 1987 bolt over to my 1992 mid sectction etc???
thanks for any and all help.......
