1990 Johnson 60 HP VRO Disconeect ?

If I disconnect the oil only side of the pump.... and plug oil intake hose... will it be hard on the fuel pump ?
looks like both fuel and oil run off same air piston? Im wondering if it will lead to issues with just running the fuel side of pump only ?

I don't know of any issues with running as a fuel pump only. It is common practice. VRO fuel pump repair kits are available but not the oil pump side. Oil pumps are not field repairable according to the info I have.
