Wondering what people feel on this one. What octane fuel do you reccommend on a 1990 120hp Force, and what oil do you think is the best. Do you add a fuel stabalizer and/or a decarb in your fuel?

Thanks.

rendog3 when I had my force engine 1994 120hp. it seems to run better on 89 octane a water seperator installed before the primer bulb and the end of every season I would decarb the engine before storage. Now on the other hand with my new yamaha outboard I am using ring free additive to the gas 1 OZ for every 15 gal. of gas Yamaha has just increase the 1 oz to 10 gal. of gas because of the 4 stroke engine but I will stay with the 1 oz to 15 gal.Fuel stabalizer is used for winter storage also

Hi, Rendog.

Regular unleaded, 87 octane, is fine and less likely to contain alcohol. The water seperating filter is a must.

Any TC-W3 rated oil should also be fine. I personally use and recommend Wal Mart's SuperTech brand.

I agree with Lonewolf about ring free additive and decarb every season. Force engines need that more than most.

Good luck. :)

Rendog,
Force 120, 1995 on my boat. Seems to like 87 or 89 octane the best. I haven't installed a water seperator yet, but may try that soon as well. Good luck.
