I have a 1989 75hp mercury outdrive. I noticed this tube/hose thatwas coming out of the lower part of the drive area. it had a plug in it but was also cracked openand completly broke off when i pulled it to look at it. here are some photos. Anyone know what it is for and should i be concerned as this part would be in the water. Sorry im new to outboards. Tanks Steve.
