HI All,

I am in negotiations on a 1989 Ciera 2755 with a rebuilt ford 351 and rebuilt leg and various other things redone.

What should I be looking for when I go see the boat? I have never owned anything this size before, just lunds etc...so any advice would be beneficial for me while I go through this process. Its basically me and the mrs, who love camping and I have sailed for years and as said before smaller boats all my life.

Any and all advice would be appreciated.

Crappy photos attached!

Thanks!

Boat looks nice. I have an older 2750 which is actually a bit bigger than the 2755. They used the 25' hull for the new 2755 and added the built in swim platform.
My biggest concern would be the OMC components. They are long out of business and some drives you can no longer get parts for. So I recommend investigating the specific drive on the boat and see if parts are available.
In general the recommendation is to run from OMC boats, but if price is right, some people have good experience with them.
