not very hard to start first thing.idles good,takes off good,doesnt miss a beat at WOT.when i slow down to fish it dies.doesnt go back to idle.to restart i have to lift fast idle lever and leave up till it smoothes out a little.then its fine.can shut off.start back up when ready,take off,run like crazy,then,same thing.thoughts?as a side note,this boat/motor sat unused,winterized for 5 yrs.im happy w/everything working w/minimal money being spent(impeller,unhooked oil injection,thats it!)my thinking is carbs may need cleaned/rebuilt.i just figured there would be more issues if carbs need work.its running 6000RPMS at WOT,trimmed.
