I believe i have a couple of problems. my 30hp doesnt stay running and i'm sure it is either the power pack or the fact that my temp sensor got toasted on the side of the engine. I will be putting in a new power pack but would like to just totally bypass the temp sensor if possible. I took out the annoying horn/buzzer and clipped the wire to the sensor. Will the motor still run because of my butchering . I realize the warning buzzer is detrimental but at this point, i don't care.

please help !

Motor should run with the wire cut, but are you sure the engine is not overheating? How did the sensor get toasted?

thnakyou for responding. the wire was leaning against a hot part of the motor. melting the wire and causing the alarm to go off. i replaced the thermostat just in case. the motor still doesnt run after cutting the temp sensor wire. is it a coincidence that my power pack went bad while my temp issue was going on ? ~ Thankyou

Have you checked your ignition system, are you sure the power pack is bad?
