My boat has a 305 GMC engine with a 275 Volva Penta Outdrive. You initially launch the boat and it will idle, not good but it will idle. Take a couple of trips as around the lake and pull it back to idle it quits. In order to get it going, I have to take it out of gear, rev it up and pull it back and get it into gear quickly. Sometimes I have to do it several times to catch it. I am thinking carburation at this point. Has anybody had this problem? Any suggestions on my next step? My local Boat Dealer (Colorado Boat Center)and a certified Bayliner service dealer will not work on my boat because he said it is too old. I couldn't believe it. The boat is in top notch shape (body & engine) and runs great after you get it out of the idle position. I have been pulling my grandson wakeboarding with no problems at speed. Thanks
