Hello Hello!

This will be the first of many many many many many posts to show ya'll the progress of my project bass boat. I may ask some questions throughout this forum, and that is my main reason for starting it I reckon! But the project started yesterday, and step 1 is get the engine running. So I'm doing that now, will work on the boat as time goes on. Wish me luck and enjoy the pictures!

These Pictures Represent the boat upon arrival to my home / shop.
( as in, No work yet completed )

Nice boat.

Most of that might buff out :p

Looks like we are planning an interior, deck covering and lots of oxidation removal!

Check the engine wires for cracks (known for it).

Believe it or not, This table is organized.

That's all I got finished today. Waiting on the carb kits to come in so I can get her back together and fire it up! Carbs were varnished terribly, but with a little soaking, and a lot of wiping they are squeaky clean again. More to come soon, Will post a video if I ever get her to "pop". =)

Nice boat! It will look really sharp when finished! Are you planning on replacing the floor and everything? I'm in the process of that right now..

I haven't decided, Because I have not found a single soft spot I'm thinking about just leaving it alone.

I can't see a name anywhere... Who manufactured your boat?

I would like to guess and say its a Stratos.

I'm jealous, I'm looking for something similar, my little Alumacraft isn't cutting it anymore.

Keep updating please.

hey all,

Its about time for me to start doing the interrior. . . I was just seeing what ya'll thought about using rhino liner in the boat instead of using carpet. Any thoughts, opinions / ideas, or experience in the matter?

thanks
J

I still have to re-do the interrior, carpet seats etc. . . But It was fun to get her out ot play on the water one time anyways. I found a soft spot on the main fishing deck. =( might be capping the boat to fix it. Or would you all leave it alone? I can't make up my mind because it is one small spot, I wonder if I should wait until it becomes worse?

So, the boat has cracked the front livewell, and the fron deck is too spongy for my liking. Going to take her down to nothing and rebuild her! The plan is to go with interlux roll on paint. New wood floors, transom, I'm hoping the stringers are in ok shape, But I'm doubting it. Anywhoo, I will take a gazillion photos of the beast and keep you updated!
