Hey guys. I'm doing the spring maintenance on my 1984 Mercury inline 6 90 hp for the first time. I don't have a manual for this outboard, but do have a Clymer manual for the 1964-1971 engines. I know these engines are pretty similar.
I want to make sure the trim pump reservoir is full, but the pump on my boat seems different than the ones shown in my book. FYI My pump is between the transom bracket.
Do I just fill the reservoir to the bottom of the threads on the fill plug? Of course with the engine full up. What type of fluid should I use?
