1983 mercury 85 hp!! approximate speed ?

Just wondering what the top speed might be with a 1983 85 hp on a 17.5 bayliner,<br /> Also would it do harm to troll with this motor?<br /> I'm trying to decide If I should swap with my 85 hp force. <br /><br />Thank you!

This is way to wide of a post! there are just too many variables to concider! Prop, weight, etc.<br /><br />How about30-35MPH on a good day!<br /><br />LubeDude

The prop has no numbers but I thinks its stock, the weight I will find out, But I guess thats the speed I was expecting to hear,<br /><br /> Thank you
