I have a 1981 Starcraft SS16 I pulled out of a barn last year. For the most part everything is original on it and has seen minimal use before I purchased it. The floor and more importantly the transom is original and in solid condition. I want to make sure they stay that way and I was thinking of using penetrating epoxy on the transom. It is my understanding that penetrating epoxy is meant for dry rot and I don't have dry rot. Will it do damage to the transom or will it help preserve and possibly strengthen it. Thanks
