1980 50hp vs 1981 50hp

will the 1981 50hp powerhead fit on the 1980 midesction/body<br /><br />i have a 1980 50hp with blown powerhead and a good 1981 50hp powerhead?<br /><br />can i do the swap?<br /><br />thanks in advance

It's so easy to say yes ,it should.I'd first check the base gaskets and then the shift linkage conection.If the same .... yes<br /><br />DHP
