I've been working on this problem for over a year now. My CDI box appears to be dead. I couldn't find a new or used one anywhere. I had a local outboard motor recycler send the unit out to be rebuilt and still no spark. When I contacted them they had me bring my coil, stator and CDI box to them to be sent out to CDI Electronics to diagnose the problem. I was told my stator coils needed to be rewound. So I got that done. Still no spark and my CDI unit still appears out of spec. In the meantime another outboard recycler told the nobody rebuilds CDI boxes on that vintage of a motor. Does anyone out there know if that is true and if so does anyone know where I can buy a used CDI box in good working order.<br />Thanks Jim
