1979 Mark Twain Rebuild - With Pics

Hello all,
I posted some pics on here this summer of a 1979 Twain I had purchased to rebuild. Well the project is about 70% done. Here is what has been completed

Entire Hull buffed out
New Carb
New intake manifold
New floor
New Foam in floor
New Carpet
Front Seats redone / recovered
All rotten wood replaced
Re-painted Dash and glove box
Re wired Dash, motor and gauges
Seats and Consol repainted

Next Steps,

Build and cover sides, Get new controls (know anyone with extra controls?), install stereo, build housing around motor, some small stuff and should be done!

Nice work, you should be proud.

Looks great! It should be a good performer with that 350. I assume that's a 260 HP?

Not sure on the HP of the 350... No markings on the motor other then the Merc stamps and some serial #'s

Havent really looked into it yet... but I figured it should be able to run pretty good.

Looks great nice work, I have controls what outdrive do you have? The controls I have are for a cobra drive not an alpha. I`m thinking you have an alpha drive.

Ya.... It is the older 898 outdrive...

I have been looking at the "uni" type controls on ebay

Post your ser. #'s up in I/O questions, One of the experts up there, that have books handy, will be able to ID it.

That would be good to know , ahead of time, if you need parts, etc.

Hey, nice work. I have a 1984 Mark Twain 19' BR I'm working on. Those are nice boats! Finished the seats, but I have 1/2 the floor out and can't get to it until spring. After floor, then carpet and put together and I'm done. Can't wait. Not as big a re-do as yours though.
