Question for you guys. On my Chrysler outboard the water intake is right on the gear housing of the lower unit. Does anyone make a set of water muffs for this? I just don't have a big enough tank to put the motor into.

Can't help with the muff question,

can't cut down an old 44 or newer 'plastic' equivalent, with a notch for the leg?

Our 75hp Chrysler has the same setup. Regular water muffs have worked fine for ours. I think the larger rectangular type work a little better than the round ones in my opinion.

Also I never run our engine more than fast idle on muffs. I replaced the impeller and housing last year and although some water does leak around the muffs it still gets plenty of water out the snout and exhaust port.

Collapsible Flush Bag available at most good boating stores. available in many sizes, just lift it up from the bottom of your leg ( like putting on jeans, add the hose, and presto.
