Happy Holidays everyone!
I have a 1975 Johnson 115HP 4cyl Motor. Let me start by saying all cylinders are good with even compression and all that so i know it isn't a motor issue. RPM's rise fine and has lots of power. The problem is, when i put it in the water, it just won't go anywhere. It won't even fight a slow tide. I can put it in gear and spin the prop by hand which in-turn, spins the flywheel. But when I put a load on it, there is no prop spinnage (spinnage a word? lol). I was wondering, is this a product of the hydraulic assist (pump) in the lower unit? There is no clanking, grinding or unusual sounds, just no spinnage. I did notice the lower unit fluid is a bit milky, but not too bad. Any insight on a theory would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Dan
