Greetings all, looking for a little experince here...

I just purchased my 8th boat, a mint condition barn find 1973 Glastron V-145 with a 1973 50hp Evinrude lark (mechanical shift). It was rescued two years ago by a mechanic who got it running like a rolex.

The problem is that while it runs great, it won't shut off with the key and there is no other kill on it. I have been choking it out every time. I figured the wire, key switch or harnes plug is proably bad. I also decided to buy a lanyard kill switch to install to solve the problem if it wasn't a obvious easy fix.

Here is my question. I purchase a seadog universal lanyard kill swich but have no idea which wire(s) on the controls side of the harness to attach to it. Knowing bad things can happen to the power pack if I get it wrong I didn't want to experiment.

Anyone know?

Thanks in advance

You better repair the prob you have now or else the lanyard kill switch may not work.
