Re: 1968 Mercury 500 electrical questions

The problem with the stearing was due to a broken center hub. I could have got the stearing Wheel in my hand at testdrive. Made a easy fix with alot of glassfiber filler.
That will have to due until i find a better hub.

Back from testrun 2

Some disaster discoverys :*)

1: the kavitation plate is about 30mm under the keel, need to rebuilld the rear of the boat to fix that.

2: what worse water still came in, found out that there is a damage to the keel and water fills the doubble shell. That meen that the foam is wet and i haul about 150-200 kg dead weight. I Will have to cut away and remove the foam, then replace glassfiber floor and refoam the boat. This is rather easy though. You just stand the boat on end and pour in 2 componant slow bubbeling polyerythane. Did that on ventilation pipes age 7 making huckleberry pontoon raft haha.

Just the work dont need, my wife wants me to make a sundeck and remake the WC in the house.
Have to burn some midnight oil i guess.

Can take Pictures or make movie if any is intressted about the refoam part
