1968 johnson 15hp

I just got a johnson 1968 15 hp model no. WH-14M and serial number: C586274. Can anyone help me with decoding the serial number and tell me what oil mixture it takes?

50 to 1 fuel mixture.

Can anyone also tell me what the knobs are and how to set them? The paint is missing on what they are and numbers. Thanks.

Slow speed knob adjusts the idle/trolling of the motor. If it idles down and trolls nicely, leave it alone. If you get a cough or sneeze at idle, turn it counter-clockwise until the sneeze goes away and it runs smoothly. The red knob adjusts the high speed. Run the motor at WOT and adjust for optimum RPM's/speed.
