I have a 100 hp 67 starflight I also have the control box and an orignal ignition switch. I have the repair manual, however I am kind of inexperienced and wondered if someone could simplify the wiring. I dont have any of the gauges and just need to see if this motor will even start. Thanks for the help

Re: 1967 starflite 100 hp

So what is your question, wiring the igniton switch?

Green goes to Bat terminal
White goes to start terminal
All the reds go to Ign terminal, including the white/red stripe

The red/white stripe goes to the choke switch.

If you aren't hooking up the ammeter, put the brown wire with the green wire on the Bat terminal. If you don't, kiss the rectifier good-by.

Disclaimer: You said you have no instruments, so this is considering that. It really is supposed to be a bit different, with an ammeter.

The way it is SUPPOSED to be:
Brown wire to ammeter Gen post.
Fused brown jumper wire between Gen post and key switch Bat terminal
Green wire to ammeter Bat post.
