1959 Evinrude Lark 35 hp tune up

Ok I am just checking here as I have yet to take my engine apart......I want to get all the parts needed then take apart and replace........I am taking the advise of the guys here to just replace.

I will be replacing the points and condensers and coils.......I just want to make sure on how many of each are in there.

Is it 2 sets of points and 2 condensers and 2 coils......or something different?

you are correct i just replaced mine,got the parts at car quest if don't know a place or iboats store.good luck

Ya NAPA Auto Parts can get all the ignition parts....although I will be getting the coils from Iboats as there only 19.00 each as opposed to NAPAs 28.00.

Ok thanks 2 sets of each it is.

Another consideration...bet the plug wires and boots are as old as the coils/points/condensors. If you change them, use stranded-wire core wires from a small engine shop...not auto parts store wires.
