1939 22.5 speeditwin question

I was going over my owners booklet on the 39 speeditwin and under lower unit greasing it says to use evinrude gear grease or mobiloil grease outboard.Now are they talking about actual grease or gear oil?Its real interesting to read the manual as things have changed greatly.It had a fantastic warranty that lasted all of 3 months.

Yes and still runs though it needs a good carb cleaning .

Lubriplate 105 comes in a plastic tube with a nozzle that fits right in the drain hole. It is white and thinner than a stiff wheel bearing grease. You can also use John Deere Corn Head Grease.
