Boy, going through memory lane trying to fix some of my signature links!
I had more issues with my original tow vehicle, then I bought a Tahoe to get me to the lake.
That turned into a nightmare, and a lesson in 6l80 and lS2 building!

So here I am several years later, finally having the Tahoe mostly sorted, and then I come across my dream.
An Islander 221V, and just 29 years old at this point!

So, this spring I'll be looking to part ways with the majority of my starcraft collection, but I do plan to get a group photo before I say goodby. ;)

That Islander wasn't cheap, I paid the most I have ever paid for something I view as a "Toy".

Yeah I'm one of the few who was able to repair my threads and moved the pics to MS Onedrive figuring that MS wasn't going to go out of business anytime soon.

My Islander is still waiting patiently for some attention.

Transom halves are cut out, glued together with epoxy, and one side done!

I have been using wax paper for the final top coat, gives it a super smooth satin finish and prevents lumps and little creatures from being entoomed for ever in my transom. ;)

And with my nova I started by using off brand wax paper... never again!
Brand name stuff has more wax and comes off much eaiser :p
I have a 64 identical to your boat that I am starting on. I live in Roosevelt, Ut. Any tips on pulling the transom? No experience at that.

Pretty straightforward if it's the outboard model.
Pull the cap, bolts, and lift it up and out.
