18' Lund with 90 Hp Yamaha 4 Stroke

I have been looking at this boat, but I am concerned that it is underpowered with the 90 Yamaha. He says it will do 35 mph with two people. I would like it to go 40. Anyway this boat might approach this with a different prop or would I be wasting my money?

My 16' Tuffy does 45mph with one person and full load of fuel, 42mph with 5 people...with a 90 HP Merc 2-stroke. To be able to go 40 mph I would guess a 125hp or larger would be required on that boat...props will only get you so far.
