150 Johnson stalls out of hole then runs good

My 1989 Johnson 150HP idles good but when I give it gas it stalls out and wont come up on plane.<br /> I put it in neutral, put up the warm-up lever for a minute, then it will run good the rest of the day. Sqeezing primer bulb does not help.<br /> Any suggestions ?<br /><br />Model J150STLCEM

I suspect crud in the carbs - rebuild time for them.

Already rebuilt the carbs, has had two different power packs, timer base and stator. These were all replaced for different reasons, but I continue to have the stall problem.

I have the very same 1989 Johnson 150HP with the same model #. I don't have your problem but I was curious as to what you mean by "put up the warm-up lever for a minute." What is the warm-up leaver? I have a different problem with mine in starting when it set for a couple of weeks. I would greatly appreciate it if you could email me with the procedure that yo use to start your motor.
