Hey Gang,

I hope everyone had a nice holiday season... Happy New Year!

I've been making good progress on the Lund. I sanded the primer inside the boat in preparation of final top-coating, and the first coat of Rustoleum Light Machine Grey was painted over Christmas. Yesterday and today I again prepped the surface with light sanding and rolled the final coat of interior paint! I added the same texture that was applied to my casting deck and bench seats, and painted all walking surfaces inside the hull using a medium nap roller. I used non-textured paint with same nap for the sides of the hull interior.

Thanks for the kind words doods...

I've spent today basically doing a mock-up on my layout, and actually mounted the trolling motor.

Thanks guys...

Installed the front marker lights today. I used a dremel tool with cut-off wheel to remove material for installation. I've also decided to cover all the bare aluminum walking surfaces with Dri-Dek http://www.dri-dek.com/dri-dek.html for a few reasons. Good drainage, easy for Jackson to walk around on, and insulates the hull from noises cause by moving or dropping anything in a tin boat. I only have the stern area finished.

It's funny how you can be following all kinds of good rebuilds, and miss one. This has been a good read all the way from the beginning. I think you are doing a great job on your Lund, and the whole layout is looking real nice. I really like your bow lighting. I'm needing to do something similar to my Starcraft because of my trolling motor partially blocking my lights at certain angles. Great job, and I can't wait to see her on the water.

Thanks man!

I know what you mean, I'm trying to keep up on 10-15 threads, so many awesome builds on this forum... I read so much and feel bad I don't comment as much as I should... I like the lights also! I need to check out your builds too! I think I have actually! Peace!

Brutha Bear! WOW!...
No wait...
WOW!!!
You are making this into one seriously fine fishing machine...SIR!
The mad skills you possess are definitely showing!
Beautiful paint work, clean, efficient layout, beautiful finish work!
Love it!

BTW, if you decide to do the sharks mouth, you might consider adding the P-40's V-12 exhaust...:D
