Hoping someone can help me with what I need. 2001 Yamaha 130 v4 2 stroke. I installed a new old stock multi tach with the round connectors. I have a short adapter to go from round to square from the trim and oil harness. Couldn't get trim to work on gauge so I bought a separate Yamaha trim only guage with square connector. I plugged square connector from trim oil harness directly to the trim guage no adapter needed. Trim guage works fine. Now I have no tach display other than it saying zero when powered up. The tach will display if you plug the square connector from trim oil harness into a short adapter to go to round connector on tach. Currently tach has 1 round connector hooked up which is displaying oil level lights properly. The other round connector isn't hooked to anything. Not sure what is needed here? The trim guage connector has pink, black, orange and grey. It is a 2 wire trim sender system. I don't think the tach signal is in that connector that's going to the dedicated trim guage?

Where was the wrong green wire?

There is only one green tachometer wire in the ten pin harness.

I had it connected to the green from the dual fuse guage harness not the 10 pin. When I installed the trim guage I must have unplugged it and then inadvertently plugged it back in to the wrong green.
