'03 8hp Honda water leak

While changing the oil in my 03 Honda kicker motor today, when I started the engine I noticed a small water leak in the engine. The leak is towards the back of the engine, on the right hand side as you look at the motor from the front. The water coming out was barely a dribble and it looks like it has been leaking for awhile. The water is coming from what looks like a threaded part of the gray housing. Can anyone tell me why I would have such a leak and how to fix it? look in your owners manual and see if that's the flushing port...but as to why it would leak?????8)
