My 35 hp Evinrude worked fine a week ago. It won't start this week. When I turn the key I can hear a clicking sound but nothing is turning. I have recharged the battery to 100% and changed spark plug. Still nothing is turing. At the end of the last run, I felt the motor lost its power partly due to (maybe) too much additive in the gas tank ( I did not add 2 cycle oil to 50:1 ratio perfectly).
The fishing season is ending in MN soon so please help me out.

Thank you very much.
Mike

santowa....just right off my foot, sounds like the starter solenoid went south. Jump the two large posts on the solenoid and see if the starter engages. If it does, replace the solenoid.

Santowax,
OBJ has good advice. If jumping the solenoid still doesn't make the starter spin, remove and clean the battery cables. For that matter, remove and clean all connections, at the solenoid, and starter too. Be sure starter is firmly bolted to the block too, this is the ground connection for the starter.

Thank both very much. Took me a while to get the right solenoid to put on. The motor starts right away. However, since I changed the spark plug the start motor is running now and the engine won't start. Any idea?
