Where can I get a diagram/manual for the lower unit of a 1989 120HP Evinrude. I need to replace the impeller & water pump housing. Does the shifter have to be in gear when dropping the unit?. What is the shift rod lenght? Thanks Bob.

You will be much better off if you get a manual before you start this job and have it for future reference, too. You can get one right here on iboats.
