I would like to paint my boat, and was wondering how I could apply a gel coat to the hull. I would prefer not to use paint. I have read that a gel coat must be applied to the mold before the glass is added, but I have seen some that are so-called brush on. Is there a difference between them? Is there any advantages or disadvantages to using this over paint?
