The problem is that the trim motor won't stop running. Replaced relays and as soon as you plug in the motor starts again, I think it trying to go down. none of the trim switches seem to be stuck and when you press the trim switch up it stops the motor. Help pls.

Why did you replace relays initially? Same problem?

You probably have a bad trim switch as OMC had probs with them back in those years. If you have a switch on the mtr cowl, that could also be bad.

My boat has 3 one on bow,throttle and one on the cowling, guess process of removing each from the system would be in order.

Sorry boobie I got sidetracked, the fix was to replace switch on throttle, good to go. Thanks

No prob, glad you got it. That throttle switch has been the biggest prob but I've also seen the ones on the cowl go bad.
