1964 Johnson 18 hp carb rebuild

Thanks to the guys who helped me id this treasure a few days ago. I am going to rebuild the carb and am just curious which kit the pros like better...The Sierra kit or the Mallory...and where can a guy find a float?

I have used the sierra quite a bit with great success, the mallory is not available around here.
396514 is the part number for the float, should be able to find on-line or at your local dealer.
