Hello all again, i have a issue with my 98 115 intruder , it runs very well since i rebuilt the carbs comes out of the hole very well hits 6000 rpm wide open no problem , this is what i noticed when i bring up the rpms to about 1400 to 1600 in neutral it will cough or misifire a few times but it runs with no problem at all from slow idle channel speed to wide open smooth as can be in gear , can be is this a sign i have the slow speed needle a little to lean or something else.

Thank you

2 stroke motors are made to rev up with a load, it is normal to see some skipping when you rev up with no load, which I usually do not even do. if your idle is good and you are running good at all RPM ranges under load, your carbs are fine. maybe a new set of champion QL78YC plugs at .030 gap would help.
