After sitting for a few weeks the motor is very hard to start and smokes really bad when I do get it started, until it warms up. My mechanic told me it was due to the oil injection system, that the pressureized system continues to add some oil to the carbs after it is turned off. After sitting for awhile that the gas evaporates leaving the oil making the carbs very oil rich when trying to start and that there was really no cure. However, he knows of people that have plugged the oil line and run premixed gas which seems to cure the problem. Is this a cure and if so what are the pros and cons of running premix????? Tired of wasting 30 minutes a trip to the lake starting the motor.
