question on 56 alumacraft rb 12'

Afternoon Gentlemen:

Question if I may, or in hopes of some knowledge. I came across a 12' boat from a friend.
After a little research I've found this to be quite a find. It is a 1956 12' alumacraft rb w/bow cone,
In near mint condition. Heck may even have original oars. Ok so my question, would anyone know of a possible price range on this bueaty.
Decals, tags all is there like I say like new. May get pictures up.

boat only or trailer and motor? if boat only around 300-400$

Just boat, do have motor and trailer w/it. But have found that the R model went for $2000 on e-bay, as I seen here.
Therefore raising my curiosity on this fine gem. So thought Id check it out and debate selling it. Thanks

The model r, and model rb, were different.

The R was set up with a steering console that divided the boat, front and rear. pretty rare.

The model rb had a rear bench seat for use with a tiller controlled motor. much more common.

Generally speaking, the boat market has tanked in the last couple years.


Collector type boats have really taken a hit in value, as there are fewer and fewer buyers who want to throw money at them.

Thanks the 56 w/trl was the first I seen on here and is in as good of shape as mine.
I thought I may have had the trl but after looking just home made. And the youtube, However do have the
Cone cover minus the handle, but the nonslip spray in is almost all there. Hence be the
Reason why I'm curious on the model value especially since a R model went for $2000
on ebay. But thanks much....good to now the commonalty
