I'm looking to purchase a manual for my stringer and I am wondering if I get one for an 83 with a mechanical lower will it cover my 79 hydro mechanical.I have the Clymer and Seloc manuals but have been told the factory is the one I need, just don't want to buy both if I don't have to. Mine is originally a 79 Hydro mechanical but the lower was switched to a Mechanical one. I saw a post where The Beef did this and mentions a OMC conversion kit, would this be the distributor one or maybe something else. If your out there The beef or Wise One or anyone else with info on this switch, I would appreciate any info you give. I am trying to nail the ESA issue I have down still.Thanks!! vic
