stop solenoid MD22P

My Volvo Penta MD22P does not stop when I switch the key on off.
Somebody told me that the stop solenoid probably is broken.
I have found in a Volvo maintenance book that a solenoid will cost
? 335,00 or $ 422,00. Does anybody know if there are solenoids
of another brand which are cheaper? For a volvo car a solenoid cost
appr. ? 20,00

Before you buy, make sure ground relay to block ground is good. This is an isolated ground engine. When stop is energized ground relay is also. Creating block ground for solenoid to function.

Sounds like the ground relay is not energizing the parabalus of the left triangle.
