Hello I'm new to this forum. I just purchased a 1988 pantera 2 basscat boat andI would like to know how to connect the trim sensors to the trim gauge. The boat has a partial harness coming from the gauge but does not exit out back of boat the engine has two wires coming from either side of bracket . The engine is a 1984 200 hp mercury outboard. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: no trim signal

Are you sure the motor has a trim sensor? A lot of that age do not. If it has a trim gauge, there should be a wire coming from the transom clamp area. The trim sensor is a variable resistor to ground, like a fuel gauge.
