dear iboat community..
i'm looking to install a inboard flushing device fixed to the sea water pump intake i'm sure you all know what mean :)
(and if not it's something like this http://www.marineengine.com/products/accessory.php?in=2820458)
the thing is i dont know what is the hose size is :/ friends told me that mercury shrink the hose with a blower and the size changes it's not hard to belive but i'm sure boaters have thought of putting a flushing device on their 496 mag engine.
if anyone knows the hose size that would save me a lot of time ! if further information is needed plzzz say so
thanks much!

fed from drive..
it's a bravo 3 drive i know it's a pretty simple job to measure the hose myself but i'm not near my boat at all..
if i recall correctly the water goes from the drive into the hull straight to the water pump
i want to put the flushing device just before the raw water pump
thanks for your reply

Re: 496 magnum hose

You'll need to use the 1-1/4" hose.

Seawater Pickup Requirements
IMPORTANT: Seawater hose used must be wire reinforced to avoid collapsing hose when suction is created by seawater pump impeller.
IMPORTANT: Seawater pickup must have an integral seacock.

Specifications
Water inlet pickup hose 32 mm (1-1/4 in.) ID wire reinforced.
Water inlet hose, Seacock, Seawater strainers all use 32 mm (1-1/4 in.) connections.
