i will be replacing my stringers in the next few days. the ones i cut out seemed to be 3/4 plywood with 2x2's glasses in the top of them. i know this is to give more of a surface for the deck to sit on.....correct? but is it necessary. i dont believe frisco put them in his sea ray rebuild.
