Tachometer trouble

I have a Caravelle 209 with a 2001 Volvo Penta 5.0 GL engine. The tachometer does not show any rpms. However, the hour meter works just fine. Where is the tachometer pickup on this engine? Any ideas on what i need to do to fix this? Is this a problem for the marina mechanics to fix?

Doesn't matter what someone else had wrong, you may have something different wrong with your tach.

You really need to start a new thread with your question, not reply to an old thread.
